While listening to the interviews (in the podcasts below) I came up with an idea. I bounced it off [lk:nonecknoel.com|Noel] and this is what we came up with:
North By Northeast Interactive (NXNEI) 2006:
to all piggy back on each other and time them to coincide with the [l:http://www.tribecafilmfestival.org|TriBeca Film Festival].
A week of geek love and parties and networking and high-order-best-thinkers and in-the-trenches-best-practices, speed geeking daily, and skills shares and more!
What do people think? The other alternative timing is to push these conferences towards the fall and have it coincide with [lk:http://www.cmj.com/marathon|CMJ] or do it over the summer and have it coincide with the [l:http://www.howlfestival.com|HOWL! Festival]

Might wanna ask the Canucks
Seeing as the already have a NXNE music and film festival in Toronto in June:
http://www.nxne.com/
Toronto seems to be a better venue for a NXNE-i IMO, since it's a bit more accessible to midwesterners (Detroit, Chicago, etc.) like me -- though hopefully soon I'll be a New Yorker (if you have any sweet npo tech job leads in NYC, I'm all ears, btw) -- and it's fun to leave the country every now and then. But yeah, I'd come no matter where it is...
