You may remember [gh:node/82|an earlier post on funding open source development collaboratively]. I have been talking about this with people since the [lk:nten.net|nTen] and now, courtesy of [lk:sstrudeau|Scott Trudeau] if have found [l:http://www.fundable.org/|Fundable.org] a tool for collaborative funding of "purchases".
Basically your contribution is only a pledge until a target ammount has been raised. There is a defined term for the "campaign" to raise the funding.
Visit [l:http://www.fundable.org/|Fundable.org] for all the details, but this is super cool, I am glad someone built it.
